Baseball is Coach Jeff Schrank’s first love. He began playing at age 8 and has played or coached continuously since his love affair with baseball began 38 years ago. Coach Jeff started at 2nd base for one year of 9th grade baseball at Meadowcreek before an unfortunate arm injury forced him to focus on his academic career. Jeff rediscovered his love for baseball in 2004 when he by chance heard an ad for the Men’s Adult Baseball League(MABL) on the radio. Jeff immediately began playing and coaching in the MABL and has formed many lasting bonds with the organization and his teammates. Jeff has been a core player and key contributor on three 18+ MABL championship teams in 2010(Spring – Saturday League), 2015(Spring – Sunday and 2020(Fall). Jeff was also voted into the 18+ MABL all-star game in 2010 hosted in Hapeville.
Coach Jeff began coaching at Mountain Park Athletic Association in Fall of 2020 in the 12u division. He has been the head coach of 4 championship teams in his 7 seasons of coaching. Coach Jeff enjoys teaching and mentoring every player in the many similarities between baseball and life. Several of Coach Jeff’s former player’s have used the skills they acquired to play baseball at the high school level and beyond. Coach Jeff believes that hard work and dedication to your craft is the only way to succeed in the game he loves. He blends old school baseball with the new school technology-based baseball to help teach his players how to find consistent success on the baseball diamond.
